Orange JuliusF

This hot summer weather calls for pulling out all the stops on cold, icy drinks!

This is one I remember my mom making when I was young and occasionally through my growing-up years~we rarely had pop {or soda as I am now being influenced to say in this region of the country} but we had orange julius! And now our little family happily re-discovered it again last week . . . and have had it multiple times.

Did you happen to forget about it as I had? Or maybe you’ve never tasted?? Enjoy!

Orange Julius
1 can (6 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
10 to 12 ice cubes

Blend til smooth and serve immediately. Serves 4
Sooooooo Easy!

**My notes** If you have real orange juice on hand and no concentrate, as I did last week, you can use 1 cup juice and eliminate the water. Also, if you know me, I try to skimp on sugar {esp when making this for myself or my children, but then as you can see, I had to add some cinnamon fish to their diet to make sure they sure-enough are getting enough sugar in their systems!} and it still tastes great with less, but for the full sugary pleasure of a sweet drink, go ahead and add that whole 1/4 cup. :)

Mmmmm, I need to make that again! I bought a couple of concentrates for the freezer a few weeks ago, just for those sorts of snacks! I LOVE me an orange julius! :)

    Happy Tuesday! ♥
