Muesli Revisited

{my MIL picked up these bowls for us in Switzerland.
not sure where the spelling differences come in!}
I was thinking about Muesli the other day, and how I ought to link to what I wrote last summer about our favorite summer breakfast just in case someone missed it then or has forgotten it. A day or two later, I noticed that that very post was getting visited like crazy . . . and came to discover that this lady had written her own post on Muesli and had linked to my original posting.

I was surprised and happy to know that this healthful, satisfying breakfast is still being introduced to and enjoyed by new people. {My SIL calls it a weight loss program in itself!} I think it really does deserve the attention!

So today I’m linking up to the posts mentioned above, as well as giving a helpful tip:
Pre-mix your Muesli (all but the fruit & milk, or course) for an even easier, faster breakfast.

Here’s an example of ingredients I throw together and store in a tall Tupperware container:
10 heaping cups quick oats
4 cups shredded coconut
5 heaping teaspoons cinnamon
10 heaping Tablespoons damarrarra or raw sugar

I put these ingredient directly into the storage container, put the lid on, shake to mix thoroughly and DONE! So easy for Husband to grab on his own or just to make mornings with the children’s breakfasts easier. Just add milk and fruit (berries, peaches, etc.) and you’re all set. Of course, if you prefer honey or agave, you can always eliminate the dry sweeteners and add honey or agave when serving.

Happy eating!

    We always just called this "raw oats" growing up! I still love it today. When I need a guilty pleasure I put in brown sugar for sweetener and assume it at least has to be healthier than chocolate cake!
