And now for that simple and refreshing mango smoothie I mentioned here earlier.
As you probably know, you can throw almost any combination
of fruit and milk ingredients into the blender
and make a smoothie!
Nothing too hard about it.
But just in case you need a fresh idea,
fresh combination . . .
we just loved this one.
2 cups milk
(or a combination of milk & yogurt)
1 fresh, very ripe mango,
peeled and cut in pieces
1 cup (mild tasting) frozen fruit
(I used the Sunshine Fruit Blend from Costo)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-2 teaspoons sweetener
(I used xylitol)
1 teaspoon oatstraw powder
(an herb that builds strong bones)
1 teaspoon chia seeds
(very high in iron)
Blend til smooth. Add a little more milk if the blend is too thick.
Serve and Enjoy! Serves approximately 2 adults and 2 children. 😉
