Food Links to Love!

As promised last week,
here are a few of the foods
that our Trim Healthy Mama Book Club
consumed in our times together!

Some day I’d love to do my own
post on these muffins and the chicken Ceasar wraps,
but until then {and in case I don’t get to it!},
some of you have been asking & wondering . . .
so I will share these links with you today.

My friend Thelma was the one who first discovered these recipes
and served up the deliciousness to us at our meeting.

First, these amazing
Ceasar Wraps

and then this little sweet-spot-hitting
Meyer Lemon Mug Cake.

I’d hate to say how many of these I’ve eaten in the past two weeks!
And though I don’t make a practice of counting calories,
I do like to be aware of higher calorie foods . . .
and this is one of my higher calorie snacks,
so I try to pair it as a dessert with a lighter “S” meal,
or eat it alone as a very satisfying sweet breakfast,
or even lunch ~ all depending on my mood. :)

This recipe makes 2 mug muffins,
but I like to double the recipe
{adding several extra dashes of stevia
to the already asked for amount of sweetener,
I use the low carb, low glycemic sweetener xylitol as well}
to fill six regular muffin cups,
and bake them in the oven at 350 degrees
until firm and just lightly browned {approx 12 minutes}.

Top with real whipped cream.
Oh yum.

*****

These foods fall in the “S” category of Trim Healthy Mama.
If you eat them alone {no other carbs for three hours before or after your “S” meal},
even a fabulous meal like this can be slimming. Can you believe it?
And it really does work.
I just hit another lower number on my scales . . .
all while eating very well.

Contact me if you have further questions
or your comments if you try these recipes!
I’d like to know how you enjoyed them.

I just got my book in the mail yesterday! And nearly kissed it in honor of you. :)
One thing that is SO attractive about THM is that they are healthy meals but look AND taste so good! Normally dieting or healthy eating is all about the grossest tasting food… So, I can’t wait to dive in. :)

You make me laugh! *Almost* kissing your book in honor of me. :) I have to say that (in my opinion) there are a few weird recipes in the THM book. But different stripes for different types! But yes, for the most part, the food is “normal” and good . . . and there are so many women sharing their favorite ON PLAN recipes, so you should never be feeling deprived! :)

Oh, and did you happen to find any asian ingredients in your “fried” town??

Mart, are you aware that there is a Facebook fan page where Pearl & Serene often share great information? There is also a private FB group that you can request to be part of and where you will find many helpful tips, encouraging stories, etc.etc. Keep in touch and let me know how it’s going for you!

Thanks, Laura! I have so many more THM posts I’d love to do as time allows. Are you aware that there is a Facebook fan page where Pearl & Serene often share great information?
